Habit Appliance (finger sucking or tongue thrust):
A habit appliance or fixed palatal crib is used to prevent or correct a thumb/finger sucking habit and a tongue thrusting habit. This appliance is attached to the upper back teeth connected to a crib behind the front teeth.
Lingual Holding Arch:
LHA is a space maintainer that prevents the lower molars from drifting forward as the baby teeth fall out. Which in turn increase the amount of space for permanent teeth to erupt. This appliance is extremely effective in preventing extractions of permanent teeth in severely crowded cases.
Maxillary Palatal Expander:
An expander is used to widen the upper jaw so that the upper and lower teeth will fit together better.
The Herbst appliance is a growth modification appliance that helps to correct the front-to-back relationship of the upper and lower jaws. It used to enhance the growth of the lower jaw in a forward direction, while at the same time applying pressure to the upper jaw in a backward direction.
We also offer the Forsus Spring appliance for correcting the front-to-back relationship of the upper and lower jaws, thereby correcting the overbite and overjet.
